Moisés Caicedo Shuts Down Real Madrid Links, Vows To Become Chelsea Legend
Ecuador midfielder, Moisés Caicedo has dismissed talk of a move to Real Madrid, insisting his future remains firmly with Chelsea FC.
Moisés Caicedo, speaking to El Chiringuito TV, made his stance clear amid growing speculation that the Spanish side are in the market for midfield reinforcements.
“I want to become a Chelsea legend,” Caicedo said. “I’m under contract at Chelsea, and my focus is on Chelsea and Ecuador.”
The 23-year-old joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023 and has grown into a key figure over the past two seasons.
His comments arrive at a time when uncertainty continues to swirl around his midfield partner Enzo Fernández, who has been linked with a possible summer exit. Chelsea’s inconsistent form has only fuelled concerns that top players could look elsewhere if results do not improve.
The club’s heavy spending in recent windows has yet to translate into sustained success, with questions lingering over recruitment strategy and the reliance on emerging talent.
Fernandez was the headline signing at the start of the current ownership era following Argentina’s World Cup triumph, and his potential departure would raise fresh doubts.
Caicedo, however, appears unmoved by the noise. Despite early whispers connecting him with a switch to Madrid, he has doubled down on his commitment to the London side.
