Tinubu Govt Reshuffles Aviation Agencies, Redeploys Senior Officials [Full List]
The Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government has approved a major redeployment of senior officials across key aviation agencies in a bid to improve coordination, accountability and operational efficiency within the sector.
Naija News reports that the reshuffle, sanctioned by the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, affects directorates in the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA); Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA); Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET); and the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB).
Details of the exercise were contained in an official circular dated February 9, 2026, signed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Yakubu Adam Kofarmata, with the approval of the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo. The changes take immediate effect.
The redeployment cuts across strategic departments including public affairs; consumer protection; finance; human resources; corporate services; and administration.
Authorities said the move forms part of broader reforms aimed at strengthening institutions responsible for aviation safety and service delivery, while encouraging improved inter-agency collaboration.
Funke Adebayo Arowojobe has been transferred from NiMet, where she served as Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, to assume the same role at NSIB.
Within NiMet, Dr Nasiru Sani has been reassigned to head Corporate Services.
In another cross-posting, Airohiuodion Henry Omonzogie moves from NiMet to NSIB as Director of Corporate Services, while Baro Henry Minabawarre leaves NSIB for NiMet to take up the position of Director of Human Resource and Administration.
Public communication leadership also witnessed changes, with Bimbo Olawunmi Oladeji moving from NSIB to NiMet.
Financial management portfolios were similarly adjusted. Muonemeh Ndubusi Lotenna moves from NAMA to NSIB as Director of Finance and Accounts, while Dr Mrs Okundaye Oke Itohan Folake transfers from NSIB to NAMA in a corresponding capacity.
At the NCAA, Director of Special Duties Horatius Egua was relieved of his position and replaced by Mrs Augustina Erah, PhD.
The ministry directed all affected officials to complete their handovers promptly to prevent operational disruptions.
Officials described the exercise as a routine administrative reform aimed at enhancing institutional capacity; strengthening safety oversight; and improving service delivery across Nigeria’s aviation industry.
