‘The Weight Of The Mandate’ – APC Presidential Aspirant, Osifo Writes Tinubu On Third Anniversary

The lone challenger to President Bola Tinubu at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election, Stanley Osifo, has congratulated the President on the third anniversary of his administration.

Osifo, in a congratulatory message, said he recognised the heavy responsibility being carried by Tinubu as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He said the President had been leading the country at a difficult period marked by tough economic decisions, security challenges and the need to drive national development.

“I felicitate with you on your 3rd anniversary as President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Three years of leadership marked by conscientious economic decisions and pursuit of national development deserve to be acknowledged,” Osifo said.

The APC chieftain noted that as a stakeholder in the ruling party and someone who recently sought the same office, he understood the expectations and pressure attached to the position of President.

Osifo said the office of the President carried enormous responsibilities, especially at a time when Nigerians expected improvements in the economy, security and general welfare.

“As a fellow APC stakeholder who recently aspired to this same office, I recognise the enormous weight of the mandate you carry.

“I remain fully committed to supporting your vision of a prosperous, secure and united Nigeria,” he stated.

Osifo said although he and Tinubu had different political aspirations during the APC presidential primary, the interest of the party and the country must remain above personal ambition.

He added that political leaders and stakeholders must continue to work towards national unity, economic growth and sustainable development.

According to him, the progress of Nigeria should remain the priority of all leaders, regardless of personal political interests.

“May Almighty God grant you the wisdom, health, and strength to bring this great nation to its fullest potential.

“Congratulations, Mr President,” Osifo added.

Naija News reports that President Tinubu recently emerged as the APC presidential candidate for the 2027 election after defeating Osifo at the party’s primary.

Tinubu was first inaugurated as President on May 29, 2023, after taking over from former President Muhammadu Buhari.
