APC Sets Up National Campaign Council For Ekiti Governorship Election (Full List)

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a National Campaign Council for the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election.

Naija News reports that the National Campaign Council is chaired by Governor Uba Sani, with Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio serving as Vice Chairman.

Other members of the council include serving governors, former governors, principal officers of the National Assembly, and other prominent Party leaders drawn from across the country.

The Party has also established several sub-committees covering Election Planning and Management, Finance and Resource Mobilisation, Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation, Logistics and Campaign Management, Protocol, Media and Publicity, Security, Women’s Mobilisation, Youth Mobilisation, and Secretariat Functions.

Meanwhile, a fresh crisis may be brewing in the All Progressives Congress (APC) as some aggrieved governors are reportedly pushing to remove Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as the party’s National Chairman ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to reports, five APC Governors, aggrieved by the conduct and outcome of the party’s primaries for the 2027 elections, are behind the plot to remove Yilwatda from office.

According to Leadership, the Governors include two from the Southwest, two from the Northcentral and one from the Southsouth.

However, the reports indicate that one of the Southwest Governors is leading the plot to remove Yilwatda from office and replace him before the 2027 elections.
