Olubadan Hands Suspected Land Grabber To DSS

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has handed a suspected land grabber over to the Department of State Services (DSS) following a land dispute in Ibadan.

The traditional ruler disclosed this in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Adeola Oloko.

Naija News reports that the suspect was turned over to the security agency on Tuesday after being linked to a conflict between two families in the Elebu area.

The dispute involved the Akoto and Ojofeitimi families, who sought the Olubadan’s help to resolve a disagreement over land ownership.

The Akoto family claimed part of the land where the Ojofeitimis reside, leading to tensions that drew the attention of the traditional ruler.

Officials conducted investigations and presented their findings at the Olubadan Palace in Oke-Aremo.

The results showed that the Ojofeitimi family had a verified survey plan, while the Akoto family did not.

Two members of the Akoto group failed to attend the meeting, further complicating the resolution process.

During the investigation period, one individual connected to the Ojofeitimi family was injured and received treatment at Adeoyo State Hospital.

The Olubadan and his council had urged both sides to maintain peace, but tensions escalated, prompting the handover of the suspect to the DSS.
