Fulham Complete Signing Of Oscar Bobb From Manchester City
Fulham have confirmed the signing of Norwegian winger Oscar Bobb from Manchester City in a move that will keep him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2031.
Oscar Bobb, 22, joins the London club on a five and a half year contract for an undisclosed fee, having already tasted Premier League and Club World Cup success during his time at City. Bobb will wear the number 14 shirt for Fulham.
In his first words as a Fulham player, Bobb expressed his excitement about the move and the environment he has joined.
“It feels great to be here. I had a great day meeting everyone and I’m very excited,” he said.
“I’ve always known Fulham to be a good club, with good players and a great stadium. I spoke to Sander, my good friend, and I spoke to the Manager, and he explained what the system’s like, and how the lads are, and how the Club is.
“He seemed lovely, so it was an easy decision basically.”
Fulham vice chairman Tony Khan also welcomed the winger, highlighting his potential impact on the squad.
Khan said, “I’m thrilled to welcome Oscar Bobb to Fulham! He is an exciting young player who is eager to come and play for the Club, as we aim to continue the team’s positive momentum through the second half of the season and plan for a promising future!
“Welcome, Oscar! Come on Fulham!”
Bobb is widely regarded as a technically gifted and creative wide player, known for his close control, intelligent movement and ability to create chances. He typically operates on the right wing and cuts inside onto his stronger left foot. However, he is comfortable on either flank or in a more central attacking role.
The Norway international began his career in the Vålerenga youth system before moving to the City Football Academy shortly after his 16th birthday.
His senior debut came in the Premier League against Fulham at the Etihad Stadium during the 2023/24 season, which proved to be a breakthrough year as he made 26 appearances across competitions while City secured both the league title and the Club World Cup.
One of his standout moments in England came against Newcastle United at St James’ Park, where he scored a dramatic stoppage time winner after a clever assist from Kevin De Bruyne. The goal later earned the Premier League Goal of the Month honours.
Bobb also impressed in the Community Shield at Wembley with a Man of the Match performance and an assist against Manchester United, although a broken leg in training limited his involvement until April. Despite the setback, he featured 15 times in all competitions this season before completing his move to Fulham.
