NPFL: Enyimba Forward, Maduforo Begs Fans For Support Ahead Of Oriental Derby

Enyimba forward, Kingsley Maduforo, says he is expecting a lively and emotional Oriental derby when the People’s Elephant host Enugu Rangers in Aba.

The striker, who once wore Rangers’ colours, called on Enyimba fans to turn out in large numbers as the team looks to recover from their recent defeat to Katsina United in Ilorin.

“Come Sunday, we are up against Rangers International, and it will be a sweet game,” he told Puyaka. “When two brothers fight, it’s always interesting. We appeal to our fans to continue giving us their maximum support and not give up on us.”

Maduforo explained that the squad has worked hard to address the errors that cost them last time out and believes they are ready to push for a positive result.

“After the loss, we returned to the drawing board to amend our lapses and push for maximum points. As a former Rangers player, I’m excited about the encounter and I’m ready to give my best if selected,” he said.

Enyimba are sitting 14th on the log with 17 points from 14 matches ahead of the clash. On the other hand, Rangers, now fifth with 22 points, arrive in Aba on the back of a strong run of results.
