Alleged Ballot Box Snatcher Gunned Down In Kogi [Video]

An alleged ballot box snatcher, Umoru Iduh, attempting to disrupt the voting process at the Agala-Ogane polling unit in Anyigba Local Government Area of Kogi State has been gunned down in cold blood.

Naija News gathered that the suspected ballot snatcher was killed on Saturday during the off-cycle governorship election in the North Central state.

In a video posted by a security expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, the alleged ballot snatcher, was seen lying in his pool of blood and women crying.

However, according to Daily Trust, Iduh was gunned down around 10 am while the voting was about to commence at the said polling unit in the area.

According to an eye witness, the late Umoru had approached the polling unit and forcefully took BVAS and smashed it on the ground in his bid to scatter it to pieces in order to stop voting at the said polling unit.

The eyewitness, Abdullahi Danjuma, claimed to be in the polling unit to vote at the time of the incident.

A person, suspected to be a vigilante, rushed in from the crowd and fired at him, killing him instantly,” he said.
