The Chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) PLC, Heirs Holdings and Transcorp, Tony Elumelu has opened up on his role models.

Naija News reports that the billionaire bared his mind in a chat with Richard Attias during his recent trip to Saudi Arabia.

He shared a video of the chat via Instagram on Monday for his fans and followers who missed the session, revealing his role model to be Michael Jackson and Steve jobs.

“I am often asked who my role models are… I answered this question during my one on one chat with Richard Attias at FII7 in Saudi Arabia,” he captioned the video.

Tony Elumelu also dived into reasons why the late co-founder of Apple Steve Jobs and the late musician Michael Jackson were his chosen models.

According to the accomplished CEO, he looked up to Jobs because of his foresight, noting that the latter founded a company which reached market capitalization of $1 trillion after his death.

For Michael Jackson, the 60-year-old lauded the king of pop for his “excellence”.

“Why do I like Michael Jackson? He epitomised hard work and excellence,” he said.

Elumelu noted that he advises his children and colleagues to “work hard, put in the time and see the outcome”.
