Tinubu, Obi, Atiku Absent As Supreme Court Decides

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and his counterpart in the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi are absent from the supreme court in Abuja.

Naija News gathered that President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is also absent from the apex court.

The court is expected to deliver judgment today (Thursday) on the appeals of Atiku and Obi against the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s judgment affirming President Tinubu’s victory at the February 25, 2023, presidential election.

Present in the court are the Chief of Staff to the president, Femi Gbajabiamila; FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike; APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Julius Abure.

In a related development, the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Julius Abure, have arrived at the Supreme Court sitting in Abuja.

The acting national chairman of the PDP, Umar Damagum, also has arrived at the apex court for the hearing of the petitions filed against the victory of President Tinubu.

The decision of the apex court is final on the matter.

The justices have also arrived and the proceeding is in progress.
