The Minister of State for Education, Yusuf Sununu, has promised to work like a bricklayer in office.

He said that just like the bricklayer is challenged with laying hundreds of blocks every day to ensure progress, he will do the same with the ministry.

Naija News recalls that Sununu and 44 other ministers were sworn in at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.

Minister of Education Tahir Mamman and Sanunu assumed office after the inauguration by the President.

While being received by the Permanent Secretary, David Adejo, when he assumed office on Monday, the minister of state for education said: “I am going to work like a bricklayer.”

Explaining how a bricklayer works, he said: “He goes to the sites every day, and he is faced with hundreds of blocks to lay, and by the end of day he wants to see that the building has come up to a certain level every day so by three to six months the house is done.”

Speaking further, Sununu said he had been in the education line for a long as all his courses are education-related from the starting to the end.

” We will overcome all the challenges and make history. We are going to respect constituted orders as well, ” he added.

On his part, Tahir Mamman seemed to cooperate with Nigerians to build on the ministry because, according to him, the education sector is the foundation of all other sectors, and the president has high expectations from the ministry.
