Gov Makinde Gifts Saheed Osupa ‘Something Huge’ (Photos)

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has bought a sports utility vehicle for Fuji musician Saheed Osupa.

The 54-year-old singer, on Monday, via his Instagram, shared a video of the people from the governor’s office handing him the key to the car.

Saheed excitedly said it was promise made and fulfilled.

“Promise made and fulfilled! Thank you, Governor Oluseyi Makinde of Oyo State. Excellency ti se kinni yen,” he said.

A video he shared on Instagram showed him singing praises to the governor.

His fans have begun congratulating him on the gift.

Fuji Star, Saheed Turns 54

Meanwhile, Saheed recently clocked 54 and took to his social media to recount the struggles he went through before emerging as a force in his genre.

In an Instagram post, he said he had a “stormy start” from his days in Ajegunle, a suburb of Lagos.

According to the singer, he kept pressing on when things were tough, believing that after the storm comes the rainbow.

“Trust me, that coming from a stormy start, and getting to this height, has not been easy, the unpredictability of the gravity of life has always moved the son of man through many ups and downs, with life’s pendulum surprisingly swinging from back and forth to left and right,” Saheed wrote.

“A tortuous journey it has been, a journey that began from my hood, Ajegunle, to the world.”
