President Tinubu Has No Control Over The Price Of Fuel, May Soon Lose Support - Omokri Warns

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has reacted to the rearrest of the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Naija News had earlier reported that Emefiele was charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition by the Federal Ministry of Justice.

Emefiele, during the ruling on Tuesday, pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against him by the secret police.

The court granted him bail for N20 million. Following the ruling of the court, the counsel to Joseph Daudu had raised the fear that DSS had the intention of rearresting his client.

Despite the court ruling, a struggle broke out between DSS operatives and prison officials over Emefiele’s custody.

Following the clash, the prison officials departed from the premises of the federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos.

While the secret police rearrested Emefiele.

Reacting to the latest development, Reno Omokri, in a post via his social media page, said Tinubu should show mercy to Emefiele.

According to him, Tinubu is already the president, and it is important for him to show mercy so that he can reap the same when it is needed.

He wrote: “Emefiele Rearrested In Court By The DSS? President Tinubu, You Are Already President, Please Sow Mercy So You Can Reap It When You Need It”
