Swedish forward Anthony Elanga completed his move from Manchester United to Nottingham Forest earlier today, July 25, 2023.

Anthony Elanga signed a five-year contract with the Premier League club which will keep him at the City Ground until June 30, 2028.

Reports in England claimed that Forest parted ways with the sum of £15 million before they were able to convince the Red Devils to sell the 21-year-old Swedish forward this summer.

Elanga joined United at the age of 12 before making his debut with the first team in 2021. Since then, he made 55 appearances for the club before his departure to Forest this summer.

Forest succeeded in making the Sweden international their first signing after wrestling with German teams and Everton for the attacker’s signature.

Last season, Anthony Elanga managed to play just 26 games in all competitions for Manchester United in which he recorded just seven starts and four goals.

After completing his move to the City Ground, Elanga said, “It’s a pleasure to be here. It’s a proud moment, not only for me but for my family as well.

“It’s a big step and I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the Forest fans at the City Ground.

“I had interest from elsewhere, but for me, Nottingham Forest feels like the perfect place.

“I’ve been here with United. It’s a special place, but being here with Forest, I feel like it will be even more special. I’m ready for the challenge.”
