Vanguard: In a bid to curb multiple taxations as complained by a cross-section of Nigerians and the business community, President Bola Tinubu has signed four Executive Orders, which include the suspension of the five per cent Excise Tax on telecommunication services as well as the Excise Duty escalation on locally manufactured products.

The Nation: To boost manufacturing and ease of doing business, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday signed four executive orders (EOs). The motive of the EOs, which suspended some key taxes, is to boost economic activities and reduce hardship, presidential advisers said.

Daily Trust: Two days after the emergence of principal officers in both Senate and House of Representatives, lawmakers in both chambers have intensified lobbying for chairmanship of committees, Daily Trust reports.
