Remi Tinubu’s Presence At President’s Meeting With Emefiele, Kyari Sparks Reactions

The Nigerian first lady, Remi Tinubu, has been criticized online for breaking protocol, less than 24 hours after her husband, Bola Tinubu assumed office.

Naija News reports that a photo making the rounds online captured Remi, the President, and vice president, Kashim Shettima during a meeting on economic matters.

The viral photo is reportedly from the meeting of Tinubu with the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, and the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mele Kyari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

It is uncertain if she took part in the meeting but many Nigerians have taken to social media to express their reservation about the photo.

Emefiele has been a disgrace to the Central bank. He has made a caricature of the institution. The NNPCL has always been a joke, albeit an expensive one.
