Pretty Nurse Slumps, Dies On Duty

A nurse in the Specialist Hospital in Zamfara State, Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura has reportedly slumped and died while discharging her duty.

The Spokesman of the hospital Auwal Usman who confirmed the incident to Tribune on Wednesday said that Bakura arrived at the hospital looking hale and hearty, only to be confirmed dead a few hours later after checking the blood pressure of about 30 patients.

Usman added that she however complained about a cardiac issue to a doctor and died shortly after her complaint.

It was said to have been too late before the doctors could resuscitate her.

“The medical doctors tried all they could to save her life but they couldn’t as she died instantly,” he added.

According to Usman, the management team of the hospital led by the Medical Director Dr Usman Shanawa has handed over the corpse to the relatives of the deceased.

When contacted, a family member of the late nurse confirmed that Asmau left home hale and hearty on Wednesday morning and went to the hospital where she works as a nurse without any health complaints.

“She was buried today by 5 pm at Malan Abdurrahaman House, Magama Area, Bungudu according to Islamic injunction,” the relative added.
