Veteran Nollywood Actor Is Dead

The Yoruba movie industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of veteran Nollywood actor, Ojo Arowosafe,  popularly known as Fadeyi Oloro.

This comes barely a year after reports made the rounds online that the actor is dead and he later debunked it.

According to TVC, the thespian died on Tuesday evening after a protracted illness.

Until his death, Fadeyi had battled an undisclosed ailment for years.

Fadeyi is widely known for his darkened face which makes him look horrific by excessive use of costumes and makeup.

During his active days in the movie industry, Fadeyi rarely spoke as he often uses chants and incantations.

Nollywood Is A Dangerous Place For Young Girls

Meanwhile, Nigerian actress, Regina Daniels has disclosed that Nollywood is a “dangerous place” for young girls while accusing some celebrities of engaging in child labour.

The 22 -year-old filmmaker made this known in a video shared on Instagram on Monday, where she noted that she was lucky to have a mother who protected her at the early stage of her career.

She said: “Nollywood is a very dangerous place for young girls. I know, I was there.

“But I was opportune to have a very strong mother, a mother that was constantly on my neck, a mother that was feared by lots of people.

“So, they knew that was Mama Regina’s daughter so they gave me all the space.”

She also recounted how she met a 14-year-old girl on set who worked as a makeup artist without being paid.

The actress said the little girl opened up about working with “different celebrities/crew members and sleeping in different hotels.”

She added that she was able to put her in “one of the best schools in Delta”.

“I’m just wondering those celebrities, are they senseless?” Regina questioned.
