Presidential Tribunal: 'Peter Obi, Atiku, Kwankwaso Plan Alliance To Take Power From APC'

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Rescue Movement (NRM), Felix Osakwe, has urged the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Atiku Abubakar to immediately conceded defeat to Bola Tinubu.

Osakwe also advised Atiku, Obi, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to call the President-elect and the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking to reporters in Abuja on Thursday, the NRM flagbearer congratulated Tinubu on his victory and described his election as the mandate that speaks to the choice of the masses of Nigerian people

Osakwe, therefore, called on the President-elect to be magnanimous in victory and see his emergence as a victory for all Nigerians.

He said: “I call on the Presidential candidates of other political parties including the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwakwanso, and others to exude the spirit of sportsmanship by accepting the outcome of the election and move on to congratulate the winner.

“In every contest, there must be a winner and providence has bestowed victory upon his chosen. This development underscores the need to congratulate the victorious President-Elect as his victory is a victory for all.

As pan-Nigerian nationalists, a duty to promote peace, unity, and national cohesion at all times including knowing when to draw the curtains and bit the humble pie by congratulating the winning team. The victory is for all Nigerians and this is to show statesmanship having fought a good fight borne by the conflict of interests and the time has come for us to embrace one another in brotherhood and friendship.

“We are all citizens of this great nation Nigeria and we must build unity, love, and strength standing firmly on national solidarity and patriotism. No personal ambition is greater than our national interest therefore, we must all do needful by congratulating the victorious Asiwaju and his team.”
