The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, defeated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, and Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with a wide margin at the polling unit of LP senatorial candidate, Ireti Kingibe, in Abuja.

Peter Obi gained 63 votes while Tinubu scores 37 votes and the former vice president, scored 17 votes in the presidential election.

Naija News reports that Ireti Kingibe also won her polling unit in the senatorial election, defeating the incumbent.

Ireti, who scored a total of 57 votes, was trailed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Angulu Zakaria, who got 30 votes.

The incumbent Senator representing the FCT and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Philips Aduda, came third with 20 votes.
