Whitney Adeniran: No Reason To Shut Down Chrisland School - Lagos Deputy Gov

The late Whitney Adeniran’s family has staged a protest as Chrisland schools continue academic activities despite the order of the Lagos State government.

Naija News earlier reported that the Lagos State Government on Sunday ordered the closure of Chrisland School in Opebi, Ikeja, over the death of the 12-year-old student.

But the school on Monday continued with their academic activities at the primary section, which generated outrage from the family of the deceased as they took to the gate of the school demanding a complete shutdown.

Emmanuel Adeniran, a brother to Whitney’s father, during an interview with Cable, reiterated that the 12-year-old girl was hale and hearty and the school is attempting a cover-up.

He said: “Why we are here is that the school should be closed. Talking about the ailment, the school knows what they are actually doing”

“Go on Twitter, the father made a video. So, Whitney is super vibrant and healthy, so they are just cooking up stories to cover up and we’ll not let that to happen.

“We have our evidence, the students are talking and they are also angry that the school is not saying the truth so we’ll not let that go under the carpet.”

Another family member, Constance Christopher said they are demanding justice for Whitney adding that the school authorities should obey the government order and observe a total shutdown.

She said: “We want justice for Whitney Adeniran, if the state government has issued an order that the school Chrisland should be shut down, it should be shut down.

“Not them telling us whether primary, secondary.. are they bearing different names?”

My Daughter Died Of Electrocution, I Have Evidence – Father

Speaking on Sunday, Whitney’s father debunked claims that her daughter died from cardiac arrest, noting she was hale and hearty.

According to him, Whitney died of electrocution and he has documented evidence of it adding she died due to the water poured on her.

n his words: “She died from the naked wire from one cotton candy vendor machine after she touched it and she was electrocuted immediately she leaned on it.

“I have documented evidence that my child died from electrocution and it was not Cardiac arrest.

“She was hale and hearty, she was not sick. And let me state it clearly, by the time I saw her corpse, her lips and tongue had already turned black.”
