The NIS Director General and CEO, Professor O. A. Moronkola, spoke at the ceremony and challenged the students to uphold the Institute’s high standards for academic performance and conduct.

He asserted that the reputation of the Institute was reinforced by the fact that the first batch of students for the recently accredited programs was admitted through JAMB.

Naija News recalls that the new facilities of the institution which is now categorized as a polytechnic was recently upgraded by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development Sunday Dare.

In his address to the students on Friday, the NIS Director General and CEO urged the students to protect the newly upgraded facilities.

He described the students as partners of the NIS in their development as he advised them to focus on their academic objectives.

One of the matriculating students, Peter Rufai, said he enrolled at the Institute to broaden his knowledge of how to have a bigger impact on children.
