The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has visited the residence of the late Bolanle Raheem, a female lawyer who was killed by a policeman on Christmas Day.

Speaking during the visit, Alabi assured the family that the culprit will be punished for the heinous crime and that justice will prevail.

He said: “This person who did this won’t go unpunished.”

Recall that the pregnant lawyer was shot dead by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Drambi Vandi when she and her family were returning home after a Christmas service on December 25.

Following outrage over the sad incident, the Lagos Police Command disclosed that the culprit and two other police officers are currently in detention.

Reacting to the development, President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, had all promised that justice will be served.
