Atiku, Peter Obi Keep Mum Over Supreme Court Verdict

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has been told to step down from the 2023 presidential race.

The call was made on Saturday by activist Rinu Oduala of the #EndSARS fame.

She submitted that Atiku has not won any election in the last thirty years and won’t win the 2023 election as well.

Instead of going all the way to the polls, Oduala advised Atiku to step down and support the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Taking to her micro-blogging site, Twitter, she wrote: “Atiku needs to step down. He has not won an election in the last 30 years.

“He won’t win this one. He can redeem himself now by collapsing his structure for Peter Obi.”

Atiku Storms Imo For Campaigns

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has landed in Owerri, Imo State for the presidential campaign of the party.

Naija News gathered that the former vice president arrived alongside his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta State Governor) and some stakeholders of the party.

The presidential campaign of the main opposition party is being held at Heroes Square in Owerri, Imo State.

PDP which lost its victory at the governorship election in the state following the ruling of the Supreme Court which declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hope Uzodinma as the rightful winner, is hoping to take back the state in the 2023 general elections.

Emeka Ihedioha was the governorship candidate of the PDP in the state at the time.

Atiku and his entourage are in the state to seek the support of the people of Imo State ahead of the presidential election.

The Governor of Sokoto State and Director-General of the PDP campaign council, Aminu Tambuwal, the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu and former Governor of Imo State, Ihedioha received Atiku at the airport.
