The PUNCH: Over 20 governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress and several other party chieftains arrived at the Jos airport on Tuesday with over 30 private and chartered jets to witness the presidential campaign inauguration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Alhaji Kashim Shettima. Data obtained from aviation authorities showed that the Yakubu Gowon Airport recorded over 95 aircraft arrivals and departures of private and commercial planes which conveyed the APC bigwigs, top government officials, and other Very Important Personalities in and out of the Plateau State capital.


The Guardian: Presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, yesterday, gave a response to the opinion piece penned by the governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, setting the stage for a feisty verbal exchange between the two leading lights of Anambra and the Southeast region. Reacting to Soludo’s treatise titled, ‘History beckons and I will not be silent (Part 1), where the governor disclosed that the investment he (Obi) left in government was worth close to nothing and the LP candidate can’t win the 2023 presidential election, Obi said he did his little as governor of Anambra and urged the incumbent governor to do his best in the state as an economics professor.


Vanguard: After weeks of preparation, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, yesterday, flagged off its campaign in style to retain the presidency in Jos, the Plateau State capital. President Muhammadu Buhari and National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, led governors elected on the platform of the party, ministers, National Working Committee, NWC, members and other party leaders to the colourful rally held at Jos Township Stadium.


The Nation: All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential standard bearer Asiwaju Bola Tinubu yesterday assured Nigerians of a brighter future, if elected in next year’s poll. He promised to set up a government of nation builders while consolidating on the foundations laid by President Muhammadu Buhari. The former Lagos State governor described next year’s election as “a fight not to leave the country to looters”.


Daily Trust: Amid a mammoth crowd, Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Tuesday said he will not allow the country to sink under his watch if elected president on February 25, 2023. Speaking during the official flag-off of his campaign at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos, Plateau State, he pledged to build on the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari.
