FIFA Introduces a Social Media Protection Service for Qatar 2022

FIFA has informed all 32 teams playing at the World Cup in Qatar this month to concentrate on the game of football.

According to reports, the competition has been dogged by controversies even before it begins on November 20 in Qatar.

Qatar’s position on same-sex couples, human rights record, and treatment of migrant labour, it has drawn criticism.

However, England’s Captain and nine other captains from European teams will be wearing a ‘One Love’ armbands as a peaceful demonstration organized for the course.

Many other countries will be adopting different ways to protest peacefully against Qatar.

As a form of protest against Qatar, Denmark will wear “toned-down” shirts; the shirt’s supplier, Hummel, however, has said that it does not desire to be seen at a competition where it says thousands of lives have been lost.

Despite France being the reigning champions, Paris and other French towns are refusing to show matches in public spaces.

Reacting to the aforementioned, a FIFA letter, which was signed by Fifa president Gianni Infantino and secretary general Fatma Samoura, urges nations to “now focus on the football” and declared that “Everyone is welcome regardless of origin, background, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or nationality.”

“We are aware that there are many challenges and difficulties of a political nature all around the world.” it added.
