Tinubu/Shettima: North Central APC Forum Rejects Lalong As Campaign DG

Leader of the All Progressives Congress in North Central under the aegis of the North Central APC Forum has condemned the appointment of the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong as the Director General of the

Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Organization.
The group described Lalong’s appointment as insulting, degrading and making the North Central irrelevant in the political calculation of the country.

According to the forum, the ruling party did not favour the region for the presidency and vice presidential candidate but could appoint someone from the region for DG to campaign for the party.

Saleh Mandung Zazzaga while speaking on behalf of the forum in Jos called on Lalong to reject the appointment.

Why Keyamo Will Keep Promoting Peter Obi Ahead Of Atiku – Adeyanju

The convener of the Concerned Nigerian Movement, Deji Adeyanju has revealed why the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo will keep promoting the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Adeyanju said it is a strategy by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to divide the opposition ahead of the 2023 general elections.

He further stated that APC might have an agenda to support the former Governor of Anambra State, especially in the South-East.

Adeyanju also encouraged Keyamo to keep saying Obi is more competent than the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democrats Party, Atiku Abubakar to get Dino Melaye pissed.

The activist stated this while reacting to Melaye’s comment against Keyamo on Saturday.

2023: Crises Threaten APC In Twenty States

The All Progressives Congress (APC) risks suffering the same fate that led to its defeat in Osun State in twenty other states.

Some state chapters of the party are suffering crises that emanant from primaries, and supremacy battles.

Despite the plea by President Muhammadu Buhari the National Leader of the party, the aggrieved members are not ready to sheath their swords.

Some of the aggrieved members have dumped the party for the Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party and other parties.

There are reports that some might remain in the ruling party, but might work against the party in 2023.

The APC had earlier set up a reconciliation committee with some claiming that members of the panel didn’t visit their states.

According to Vanguard, the ruling party is suffering a crisis in Lagos, Kano, Gombe, Kaduna, Bauchi, Zamfara, Kwara, Kebbi, Ondo, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Rivers, Cross River, Imo, Benue, Nasarawa, Abia and Akwa Ibom.

Peter Obi Is An Excellent Candidate – Omokri Speaks On LP Candidate Presidential Ambition

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has described the Labour Party flag bearer, Peter Obi as an excellent candidate for the 2023 presidential election.

Omokri who is a staunch supporter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar said that Nigerians should support whoever they want but still respect one another.

Speaking via his Twitter handle on Sunday, the media personality stated that Obi is an excellent candidate but Atiku is better.

2023: Keyamo Lists Buhari’s Achievements Which Tinubu Will Complement If Elected President

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has listed areas the presidency of Muhammadu Buhari has done well which the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu would improve on.

The minister insisted that there are areas of governance where Buhari has outdone himself and Tinubu will go ahead to keep up the good works if he wins the 2023 elections.

Sharing his thoughts via a series of tweets, Keyamo said Tinubu would improve on the work done by Buhari’s government in fighting banditry and kidnapping in the Northwest.

He insisted that Buhari had done exceedingly well in sectors such as infrastructure, rail and agriculture.

Tinubu Has No Plans For Nigeria, Presidency Is His Retirement Benefit – Dino Melaye

Former lawmaker, Dino Melaye, has said that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu considers the presidency his retirement plan.

Sharing his thoughts on the political ambition of Tinubu via his Facebook page, the recently appointed spokesperson of Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar’s campaign said that the former Lagos governor was contesting the presidency to fulfil his “lifetime ambition”.

Speaking further, he berated the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, over his comment on his employer in a recent TV interview, Malaye stated that unlike Tinubu the PDP’s candidate is contesting with rich credentials.

Atiku, Wike Meeting Took ‘Enemies Of PDP’ By Surprise

Peace may finally return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after the surprise meeting between the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
Recall that the duo met last Thursday at the Abuja home of a former Information Minister and member of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), Professor Jerry Gana, to settle their rift.

Naija News reports that the PDP had been dealing with an internal crisis following the party’s presidential primary, which Wike lost to Atiku Abubakar.

The crisis went deeper after Atiku snubbed the Rivers State Governor to pick Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running mate.

This led to the PDP BoT meeting, which attempted to broker a truce to enable the party go into the 2023 election united.

Atiku and Wike both agreed to set up a 14-member panel to consult and make recommendations which both men will consider.

A top party source told Vanguard that the membership of the panel was yet to be made public because some of them had yet to be officially informed.

The source explained that the panel is expected to take off with “immediate effect.”

2023: How Can You Belittle Yourself To Accept Tinubu’s Appointment – Kadzai Berates Lalong

Former National President, Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (YOWICAN) and Co-Chairman of Interfaith Coalition Conference, Engr. Daniel Kadzai has urged the Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong to refuse the appointment as the Director-General of the Bola Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council.

Naija News recalls that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its Presidential candidate, Tinubu, on Thursday in Abuja, unveiled Lalong as Director-General of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

Speaking with Daily Post on the new appointment, Kadzai wondered why Lalong would belittle himself to accept the appointment when he was deemed worthy enough to stand as presidential running mate.

Kadzai stated that Lalong would not be allowed to campaign in churches or meet Christian stakeholders if he accept the appointment.

PDP Crisis: Bode George Seeks National Chairman, Ayu’s Removal

A former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has called on the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu to leave.

According to George, the key positions in the main opposition party are being held by Northerners.

George said in all fairness to the party, the South-West should get the position of the party’s National Chairman.

He wondered if the North would have accepted that key positions in the party came from the South-West.

The PDP chieftain called on the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party to appoint an acting chairman from the South-West immediately.
