Kidnappers Of Ondo Muslim Cleric Demand N10 Million Ransom

Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen have reportedly released Christopher Bakare, the farm supervisor at late former Governor of Oyo State, Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala’s farm.

Naija News recalls that the assailants whisked away Bakare from the TDB farm at Jabata, Surulere Local Government Area of the state last Saturday evening.

Reports on Thursday morning confirmed that Bakare was freed after the payment of N5million was paid as ransom to the kidnappers.

A family source who spoke with Vanguard this morning said the farm supervisor was released Wednesday night after the N5million demanded was paid to the assailants.

Naija News understands that the kidnappers had initially placed N100m ransom on him but after four days of negotiations, they settled for N5million.
