Obi is set to contest the 2023 presidential election against the likes of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), among others.

Meanwhile, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has hailed the emergence of Senator Ademola Adeleke as the Governor-elect of Osun State.

Recall that Adeleke, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the incumbent Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, in the just-concluded Osun governorship election.

In a statement signed by his spokesman, Moses Olafare, on Monday, Ooni congratulated Adeleke on his victory in Saturday’s election and urged him to carry everybody on board in decision-making.

The monarch described Adeleke’s victory as a confirmation of his grassroots popularity in the state which he must reward with good governance and selfless service to the people.
