The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has stylishly put the blame on the Governor of Ondo, Rotimi Akeredolu for the Owo massacre.

The Governor condemned the attack of worshippers of St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, headquarters of Owo local government area of Ondo state.

He also stated that no such attack occurred during the tenure of a former governor of the state, Olusegun Mimiko.

Yahaya shared his opinion during a programme on Channels Television on Sunday.

However, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu who is the current governor of the state was in Abuja preparing for the forthcoming All Progressives Congress presidential primary when the attack happened and immediately came back to the state to conduct an on the spot assessment of the situation while also sharing in the grief of the people.

Meanwhile, the Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed shock and sadness over the gruesome murder of worshippers at St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.

His reaction to the ugly incident is contained in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja.

The former Abia Governor vehemently condemned the church attack, which left many worshippers dead and others injured.

Kalu described the attack as evil and sinful, adding that the unfortunate incident is devastating and wicked. Read more.
