EFCC: Pictures Of Okorocha In Court Emerge
Pictures of a presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Rochas Okorocha in court on Monday have emerged.
Naija News had earlier reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arraigned the former Governor of Imo State, before a Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged N2.9B corruption charges.
Recall that the anti-graft agency last week invade the residence of the lawmaker representing Imo West senatorial district in Abuja.
The commission while giving the reason for Okorocha’s arrest accused him of jumping the administrative bail granted to him following allegations of stealing public funds to the tune of 2.9 billion Naira.
EFCC after days of grilling the Okorocha brought him to the court premises at about 8:45 a.m. and he was immediately led to the courtroom.
Some of his relatives and political associates present at the court premises were unable to gain access to him due to heavy security mounted around him.
His lead counsel, Mr Kehinde Ogunwumiju, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, has also arrived in court with a retinue of other lawyers, Naija News understands.
