Ex-FCT Minister's Daughter Involved In Cameroon Plane Crash

Adzuayi Ewuga, daughter of a former Minister of State for FCT, Senator Solomon Ewuga, has been reported dead in a plane crash in Central Cameroon.

Naija News learned that Adzuayi, a Nigerian female pilot, died in a mini-aircraft belonging to Caverton Aviation Cameroon on Wednesday afternoon.

The late pilot is the second daughter of Senator Ewuga, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State and former Senator.

Adzuayi died with 11 others on board when air traffic services lost radio contact, causing the plane to crash.

According to local media reports, the aircraft was flying from Yaounde Nsimalen Airport to Belabo, in the east of the country when the mishap happened.

The local media reports added that the tragic incident left no survivors.

Meanwhile, Cameroon’s Transport Minister, Ernest Ngalle Bibehe, has confirmed the incident, noting that the plane crashed near Nanga Eboko, Centre Province yesterday.

He said in a statement that air traffic control lost contact with the plane which was later located in the forest near Nanga Eboko, around 150 kilometres (90 miles) northeast of the capital Yaounde.
