WAEC To Hold NEC Meeting, To Decide On Withheld Results Today

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has opened its recruitment portal to accommodate capable hands for various positions.

The exam body announced the commencement of the recruitment in a statement released on its official Twitter handle on Tuesday, April 26, Naija News reports.

WAEC urged interested applicants to only visit its official website https://recruitment.waec.com.ng, to apply for suitable vacant positions.

The application as stated in the release closes on June 7th, 2022.

The statement read, “The West African Examinations Council is calling on applicants to fill in vacant positions in its Nigeria National Office and WAEC International Office, Lagos, Nigeria.

“Interested applicants are to complete the application process online by logging in to the link below .https://recruitment.waec.com.ng

“Application closes on Tuesday, 7th Jue, 2022.”

Meanwhile, the National Examinations Council, NECO has announced a new date for the entrance examination into unity schools.

The national exam body revealed in a statement issued last week through its Head Information and Public Relations Division, Azeez Sani, that the 2022 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Federal Unity Colleges for this year will now hold on May 7, 2022.

Naija News understands that the examination was earlier scheduled to hold on April 23, 2023.

The statement issued in Abuja on April 20, 2022, explained that the examination was rescheduled to give States with low registration of candidates the opportunity to register their candidates for the examination.

It reads: “All candidates, parents, guardians and relevant stakeholders are therefore enjoined to take note of the new date for the examination.

“The registration of candidates will continue till the new date of the examination.

“Candidates, parents and guardians are advised to download the new Examination Time Table from the Council’s website: www.neco.gov.ng,” the statement added.
