Osinachi: Court Announces New Date For Peter Nwachukwu’s Trial

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja Police Command has stated that it will be transferring the case of late gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.

The singer had died on April 8 in an Abuja based hospital.

After her death, allegations from friends and family claiming that her husband Peter Nwachukwu was the perpetrator of her death began to surface online.

On the 10th of April, Nwachukwu was arrested on grounds of suspected culpable homicide.

The case was later transferred from the Lugbe Police Division to the State Criminal Investigation.

According to Punch Metro, a source has come out to shed more light on recent development and has revealed that the autopsy report has been released and the police would seek legal advice on the matter.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, on Monday, said the case was no longer with the police.

She said, “The case is no longer with us. It is now with the DPP in the office of the Attorney General.”
