Osinachi’s Husband Reportedly Escapes From Kuje Prison During Jailbreak

Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late gospel singer, Osinachi, has reportedly escaped from the Kuje Medium Security Correctional Centre in the Federal Capital Territory.

Naija News had earlier reported that terrorists last Tuesday invaded the prison to release their members and other inmates.

The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) while giving an account of the jailbreak disclosed that 879 inmates escaped from the facility last Tuesday.

A source from Dunamis International Gospel Center that spoke with Daily Post on the incident claimed that Peter went missing after the attack on the prison.

According to the source, security operatives have launched a manhunt to apprehend him.

The source said, “The day we heard of the prison break, we called the prison authorities to know the state of Mr Nwachukwu but they were initially not forthcoming with the true situation.

“But it was confirmed on Sunday that the man truly escaped from prison custody.

“Manhunt has been launched on him at the moment. Security agencies have been briefed.

“They are also monitoring his bank account to see if there would be any transaction.”

Peter was detained at the Kuje prison over allegations of domestic violence levelled against him following the death of the gospel singer.
