Abuja DISCO Appoints New CEO

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc has announced Adeoye Fadeyibi as its new managing director/chief executive officer.

A statement by the DISCO revealed that the manager has over 20 years of executive management experience and will be succeeding the company’s former director, Akinwumi Bada, who was the company’s interim director and will be leaving to pursue other endeavors.

He was the pioneer managing director of Transcorp Power Limited, Ughelli, Delta State, where he pulled up the generating company’s performance from 164MW to 634MW in a space of 25 months.

Fadebiyi who is a fellow of several professional bodies obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York, SUNY Buffalo, New York, and the General Electric Power Systems University in Schenectady.

AEDC also announced the appointment of Kassim Burkullu as its new chief technical officer, replacing Oluwafemi Zacchaeus who had served as the interim chief technical officer.
