Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has vowed to quit ritual- themed movies from a coffin, Naija News reports.

This is coming weeks after the general public blamed the movie industry for the recent upsurge in ritual killings in the country.

According to the claims, young Nigerians learnt the act from movies that project ritual scenes.

The actor in reaction to the claims, insisted hunger and poverty were responsible for the increasing ritual killings in Nigeria and not the movie industry.

However, in a post shared on his Instagram page, the actor who seemed to be on a movie project assured his fans and the general public that he would be taking more romantic roles and not rituals roles.

Sharing a video of himself inside a coffin box, the actor wrote; “Una say no more Ritual film abi?
no wahala. I don enter romance, in my own way. Una go hear am for my hand. Take a look.
