Court Remands Five Drug Barons In Lagos

A 49-year-old woman, Abosede Oloyede has allegedly occupied her neighbor’s kitchen and beaten him in the process.

Oloyede who appeared before a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos is being tried for breach of public peace and assault.

The Police Prosecutor, Insp Courage Ekhueorohan informed the court that the suspect carried out the crime in the month of January at No 11, Shobowale St., Itire, Surulere, Lagos.

He stated that the accused left her apartment and started using her neighbor’s kitchen.

When her neighbour, Mr Isiaka Baruwa, noticed what was going on he demanded that she stop using his kitchen. However, she angrily beat him up.

The prosecutor said that her actions violate Sections 168 and 173 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Oloyede, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, M. I. Dan-Oni, granted Oloyede bail in the sum of N50,000 with one responsible surety in like sum.

She adjourned the case until March 10, for mention.
