The Yobe State Police has apprehended three suspects including a soldier for armed robbery, criminal conspiracy and house breaking.

The spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim made this known in a statement released on January 29.

He said the suspects were armed to the teeth with various weapons including an AK-47 when they intruded the residence of one Hajiya Aisha Usman of Sabon-Pegi-ward.

They successfully stole a Peugeot saloon car, N250,000 and a Nokia phone after tying up the victim and her son, Ahmed Umar with satellite cables.

He added that the victims suffered serious injuries from the attack.

“On 22/01/2022 at about 2230hrs the suspects invaded the residence of one Hajiya Aisha Usman of Sabon-Pegi-ward with deadly weapons, including an AK 47 rifle.

“They succeeded in inflicting serious injuries on the victim and her son, Ahmed Umar, aged 17 years, after tying them up with DSTV cable wire,” said the statement.
