They Have Inferiority Complex - Sowore Slams Nigerian Leaders

Human rights activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore has blamed President Muhamadu Buhari for the loss the Super Eagles suffered on Sunday against Tunisia.

Sowore on his Twitter account, after the Eagles lost 1-0 to Tunisia and crashed out of the AFCON 2021 tournament said the Nigerian players did their best but the call from Buhari passed bad luck to them.

He said President Buhari is bad luck personified and Nigerians can testify to it.

Naija News recalls the Super Eagles had not lost any match at the AFCON 2021 tournament prior to the round of 16 games against Tunisia on Sunday.

However, President Buhari held a video call with the players and coaches on Sunday where heĀ urged the Super Eagles to continue their superb display at the tournament.

Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina, who made this disclosure in a statement on Sunday said the Nigerian leader appealed to the team not to relent in their effort to win the Nations Cup during a chat with representatives of the team via video conference.

He said the President spoke with Super Eagles coach Augustine Eguavoen, Captain Ahmed Musa, President of Nigerian Football Federation Amaju Pinnick, and Nigerian Ambassador to Cameroon, Gen Abayomi Olonisakin (retd).

But the Super Eagles on Sunday were knocked out of the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) holding in Cameroon with a second-half goal from Msakni for Tunisia enough to send the three-time African champions out of the tournament.

After the loss, many people including Sowore have blamed Buhari’s video call for the loss.

On his part, Sowore wrote: “SuperEagles played very well today but that terribly dangerous call from Mr. FAILURE
@MBuhari was the problem. Buhari is bad luck personified, if you doubt me ask the people of Nigeria. May Buhari never happen to you!”
