Coronavirus: NCDC Confirms 160 New COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday evening, 28th August 2020, confirmed 160 new cases of coronavirus disease infection in Nigeria.
Naija News reports that the new cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed via a statement on the official Twitter handle of the health agency.
The development brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 53,477 which includes 41,017 discharged cases and 1,011 deaths.
Below is the breakdown of the latest cases according to states with Plateau State recording the highest number of new confirmed cases, followed by Lagos and Katsina State, northern Nigeria.
