According to Shaibu while addressing reporters yesterday in Benin, the Edo state capital the former governor of the state, Oshiomhole had wanted him to have hand in the impeachment of his principal and as well made him (Shaibu) become the governor, but he refused to yield to the plot.

Shaibu told newsmen that he fell out with the APC chieftain because he refused to do as he had wished.

Naija News recalls that Philip Shaibu has said Edo State the state will be destroyed if the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, wins the forthcoming election.

He made this known in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Benjamin Atu.

The deputy governor, however, again declared his unfailing support and loyalty to his principal, governor Obaseki, adding that he had earlier pleaded with Oshiomhole to forget ever any feud between him and the incumbent governor considering the fact that he is doing well for the citizens, but that Oshiomhole refused to listen to his pleas.

Shaibu stated further that his loyalty to Governor Obaseki has remained unshaken and that he has been fighting against oppression, and will not allow himself to be lured into Oshiomhole’s plot.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari‘s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, noted that Nigerians will see the President’s achievements if they calm down.
