Naija News reports that the former NDDC MD was due to appear before a Senate panel in Abuja investigating the activities of the agency.

“Nunieh just called me now. The police have taken over her house since 4:00 am in Port Harcourt. She is expected to testify before the House of Reps today.

“With noticeable distress in her voice, she alleged the police broke into her premises and she expected they would take her away soon,” a source close to her told SaharaReporters.

Recall that the sacked Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), had accused Akpabio of fraudulent practices.

Mrs Nunieh, during an appearance in the Senate, explained that Akpabio plotted her removal and that the minister wanted to use her as a tool for committing fraudulent acts within the NDDC.

She said also said that the former governor threatened to sack her from the day of her inauguration as the managing director of NDDC.
