Ondo Deputy Gov Files Suit Against State Assembly Over Impeachment Move

There have been reports that members of the Assembly are planning to impeach the Deputy Governor after he dumped the All Progressives Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, has filed a suit against the state House of Assembly at the Federal High Court, over an alleged plan to impeach him.

There have been reports that members of the Assembly are planning to impeach the Deputy Governor after he dumped the All Progressives Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

Mr Ajayi in the suit filed against that the state House of Assembly by his Counsel, Mr I. Olatoke, SAN, included the House of Assembly, the Inspector General of Police, the State Commissioner of Police, Department of State Services and the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr David Oleyeloogun as defendants in the case.

Naija News had earlier reported that armed mobile police officers have taken over the premises of the Ondo State House of Assembly with moves to impeach the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi

Information gathered revealed that patrol vehicles of security agencies were stationed at strategic positions at the Assembly with fully armed security personnel turning back visitors.
