President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday at the State House in Abuja, received fresh briefings from the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.

The task force, led by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha briefed the President on the latest happenings in the country as related to the global coronavirus pandemic.

Buhari is expected to announce new and next steps in curbing the spread of the coronavirus after receiving briefings from the task force.

Mustapha was accompanied to the meeting with President Buhari by the Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire; the National Coordinator of the PTF on COVID-19, Dr. Sani Aliyu; and the Director-General of the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu.

Naija News recalls the second phase of the gradual easing of the coronavirus lockdown as approved by the federal government expires today, June 29.

The first phase of the gradual easing was announced on April 27.

Nigerians are among other issues, expecting updates on school resumption, interstate lockdown and full resumption of work activities.
