Buhari Commiserates With Ezekwesili, Family Over Mother’s Death

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with former Nigerian Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili and her entire family on the loss of her mother, Mrs Cecilia Ujubuonu who reportedly died a few moments ago.

The president in a statement a while ago by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, encouraged Ezekwesili, her relatives and colleagues to find fortitude in the legacy left behind by the late mother.

Naija News had reported earlier that the 78-year-old mother of the former Presidential Candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria died after suffering from a cancerous disease for so many years 

The statement read, “President Buhari condoles with the grandchildren of the late businesswoman, and members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, knowing they will particularly miss her counsel and guidance, garnered from years of working hard to raise a disciplined and focused family.

“As the family mourns, the President prays that the almighty God will comfort them, and grant peaceful rest to the soul of the departed.”

Naija News understands that Mrs Ujubunuonu until her death was a dedicated member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG.

Meanwhile, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said that death sentence not too severe for rapists.
