Bollywood Actor, Sushant Singh Rajput Commits Suicide

Sushant Singh Rajput, a famous Bollywood actor and dancer has reportedly hanged himself to death at his residence.

According to the report, the 36-year-old actor whose body was found in his apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra city on Sunday, June 15, 2020, looked happy and confident in his facial expression.

Naija News learnt that Rajput hanged himself on the sixth floor of his apartment in Bandra (West).

Confirming the development, the spokesperson of Mumbai Police, DCP Pranay Ashok, the decease was found hanging at his residence and investigation carried out by the force revealed that he committed suicide.

“Though no suicide note was found in his residence,” Ashok noted.

He added, “Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide, but the Mumbai Police is investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.”

Reacting to Rajput’s death, his management team in a statement made available on social media a few hours ago described the actor’s death as a “huge loss to the movie industry”.

The statement reads in part, “It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work like they have done so far.”

“We request the media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief.”

On his part, President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management committee said: “He was just 34 and famous.”

“He appeared confident and happy too! But we seriously don’t know the struggles everyone is going through.”

He added, “We need to connect with each other. Life is too beautiful to commit suicide. Let’s be strong for each other.”

This is coming barely two months after Bollywood and Hollywood actor, Irrfan Khan died.

Naija News recalls that the actor died at the age of fifty-three after suffering from a high-grade neuroendocrine cancer he had suffered for two years.
