2023: APC Planning 3rd Term Agenda For Buhari - PDP Alleges In Fresh Alarm

The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s nationwide address to Nigerians on Monday, 13th April.

The President in his address where he spoke on the latest developments concerning the coronavirus infection in Nigeria, extended the lockdown in Lagos and Ogun States as well as Abuja, the FCT.

However, the PDP in a statement on Monday signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan said the President’s “speech, just like the pre-recorded broadcast of March 29, 2020, failed to address salient issues of urgent concerns to Nigerians in their daily struggle against the spread of the plague in our country.”

The party said, President Buhari displayed his lack of touch with the reality of many Nigerians and failed to show leadership as his speech didn’t address the needs of the people.

It also challenged the President to make public, the list of households and beneficiaries reached by the government’s palliative measures since the lockdown occasioned by the coronavirus outbreak.

While urging Nigerians to remain safe by obeying the instructions of health experts, the PDP urged President Buhari and his administration to change their approach and address Nigerians again.
