Three Members Poisoned Pastor To Death In Jos

A Pastor of Christ Assembly Church in Jos has been reportedly poisoned to death by some members of his congregation.

Naija News learned that three members of the Church who conspired to kill their Pastor have been remanded by a High Court in Jos, Plateau State on Monday after they raided their Pastor’s house, poisoned him, stole his car and money.

The culprits, Princess Yakubu (F), John Terna (M) and Jeremiah Gwande (M) have been charged with criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, and culpable homicide.

The High Court judge, Justice S.P Gang after hearing ordered that the trio be remanded in a correctional centre till further details.

Meanwhile, the culprits have pleaded not guilty to the crime they were been accused of.

Giving details about the incident, Police prosecutor S.O. Emmanuel, reveals that the trio had conspired to poison their Pastor, Andrew Ekuas, who is the presiding pastor of the Christ Assembly Church Risau.

“They stole his car, N400,000 and other belongings,” said Emmanuel.

He further revealed that one of the trio took the ATM cards of the clergyman and withdrew N400,000 from his account.

In another news, Pastor Angel Obinim, who heads International Godsway Ministries, has launched an anointing oil to safeguard members from the deadly coronavirus, Naija News report.
