Rev Supo Ayokunle Emerge CAN President For Another Term

CAN calls for end to Tiv/Jukun crisis
 

The Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), has re-elected Rev Supo Ayokunle as its National President.

The National President for the Nigerian Baptist Convention, was re-elected for another three-year term on Tuesday.

According to the Nation, he won the election few minutes ago after the voting exercise having scored 59 votes.

His closest challenger, Rev Dr Caleb Ahima, scored 44 votes.

Recall that some concerned Christian Forum of Nigeria had called on the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria,  to step down from his role.

The group which consists of distinguished clergymen across Nigeria called on him to tender his resignation within seven days, however, he has been re-elected.
